Treatment, Intervention and Prevention
Our trained Village Rehabilitation Workers (VRWs) and Facilitators identify people with disabilities (PWD) within the community. We then provide access to specialized healthcare and equipment, including:
- Prevention awareness creation campaigns
- Treatments, physiotherapy and mobility tools.
- Provision of referrals, transport and lodging and maintain close follow-up of clients to ensure quality care and rehabilitation.
We support children with disabilities in Karagwe District and other parts of Tanzania to pursue an education in mainstream, specialized and/or vocational institutions. We provide sponsorships, support for specialized needs and case management.
We provide micro-finance tools for families to care for children’s special needs and empower them with entrepreneurship skills. Also we support economic inclusion of youths with disabilities through vocational training that will eventually facilitate their (self) employment.
We support, protect, and promote the legal rights of People with Disabilities and enable them to participate in their communities. We also leverage additional resources from the government on behalf of our clients.
